Lake Tota is about 250 km from Bogotá’s El Dorado International Airport. Depending on traffic when leaving Bogotá, it’s an easy 4–5 hour drive.

Staying in Boyaca

Boyacá has a thriving tourism sector, and depending on the length of your stay, there are plenty of options nearby. Around Playa Blanca on Lake Tota, you’ll find several hotels, glamping sites, and cabins where you can stay the night before the race.

Acclimatization

Depending on where you’re coming from, you may need some time to acclimatize. Boyacá offers several routes that can help you during your acclimatization period. Remember, altitude is Chibchi Fisha’s most extreme feature.
